Help Shape the Future of The Global Prize
The Global Prize is now assembling the Concept and Structure Committee to help define the foundational framework for this historic initiative. This committee will be pivotal in shaping the vision, structure, and direction of the project. We invite nominations of individuals who demonstrate commitment, experience, and vision for Afro-descendant advancement.
What is the CSC?
This is a very important foundational committee tasked with helping to design and define the scope and structure of The Global Prize. The committee will explore core issues such as:
- The general structure and concept of The Global Prize
- The geographic reach and representation of the Prize
- Governance and structural framework
- General provisional work programme
- Operational and implementation guidelines
- Values, principles, and guiding vision
This is the Foundation’s think tank, engaging with stakeholders, and laying the groundwork for the full launch of the project.
Regional Representation
The Concept and Structure Committee will comprise 17 members, with 2 representatives from each of The Global Prize’s 8 regions:
- Northern Africa
- Southern Africa
- Central Africa
- Eastern Africa
- Western Africa
- The Caribbean
- The Americas
- Rest of the World
Eligibility Criteria
Nominees should:
- Be of African descent (including diaspora)
- Reside in any part of the world
- Have demonstrable experience or achievements in relevant fields (governance, academia, civil society, global policy, Afro-descendant advocacy, etc.)
- Exhibit a clear commitment to Pan-African ideals and global Black excellence
- Be available to engage in the committee’s work (primarily virtual)
How to nominate
Nominations can be made by individuals, organizations, or institutions.

Nominations can only be made online using the form.
All nominations for this committee must be received not later than 30 June 2025
Selection process
The selection process will be a transparent one. All nominations will be reviewed by a temporary internal selection group set up to ensure fairness and regional balance.
Selected members will be contacted directly.
